A dedicated teaching staff is the backbone of Christian education and promotes a welcoming learning environment for the youth in your Vacation Bible School program. Teachers can be in classrooms or have assigned leadership roles in rotational areas. Vacation Bible School teachers don’t need to have professional teaching experience. These positions can be a great opportunity for those who want to give their time, talent, and energy to encourage the youth ministry.
If possible, try to involve the older youth in your ministry to help teach the younger children. Often, teens within the congregation can help lead a class or at least an activity. These young people could play a vital role in the church’s future leadership. The Fishin’ on a Mission with Jesus program will help both the novice and the experienced teacher engage students. Make sure to have extra assistants on-hand for each age level to help teachers and leaders.
